Sattvic Food

As per the Ayurveda, consumption of Tamasic food leads to the destruction of the mind and body alike. They are said to harm humans in all possible ways.

This harm includes anything that will lead to a duller, less refined state of consciousness. Bodily harm includes detrimental stress to any physical organ. 

However, the interesting fact is that in the modern-day, about 80% of the world prefers Tamasic food over any other.
